Hot Chip Vinyl Records

Hot Chip is an English electronic music band formed in London in 2000. The band consists of Alexis Taylor (vocals, keyboards, guitar), Joe Goddard (vocals, keyboards, percussion), Owen Clarke (synthesizers, keyboards, guitar, bass), Al Doyle (guitar, percussion, backing vocals), Felix Martin (drums) and Sarah Jones (drums, percussion).

Their debut album Coming on Strong was released in 2004 and was followed by The Warning in 2006, which featured the singles "Over and Over" and "Boy from School". The Warning was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize and was voted the fourth best album of 2006 in the annual NME poll.

In 2008, Hot Chip released their third album Made in the Dark, which featured the singles "Ready for the Floor" and "One Life Stand". Made in the Dark was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Dance/Electronic Album.

Their fourth album One Life Stand was released in 2010 and featured the singles "I Feel Better" and "Take It In". The album was nominated for a Brit Award for Best British Album.

Their fifth album In Our Heads was released in 2012 and featured the singles "Night & Day" and "Flutes". In Our Heads was also nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Dance/Electronic Album.

Their sixth album Why Make Sense? was released in 2015 and featured the singles "Huarache Lights" and "Need You Now". The album was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize.

Hot Chip has also released several EPs and live albums, as well as remixes for various artists.

An interesting fact about Hot Chip is that their songs have been featured in many movies, TV shows and video games, including Napoleon Dynamite, Entourage, The Inbetweeners, FIFA 10 and FIFA 11.
