Fugees Vinyl Records

The Fugees, also known as the Refugee Camp, was an American hip hop group formed in South Orange, New Jersey in 1992. It consisted of rapper/singer Lauryn Hill, rapper/producer Wyclef Jean, and rapper Pras Michel.

The group rose to prominence in the mid-1990s with their debut album, Blunted on Reality (1994), and their follow-up The Score (1996), which featured the hit single “Killing Me Softly”, one of the biggest singles of all time. The Score was certified six times platinum in the US and eventually sold over 18 million copies worldwide.

The Fugees also released two more albums, The Score and The Carnival, before splitting up in 1997. The Carnival featured the hit single “Gone Till November”, which was nominated for a Grammy Award in 1998.

In addition to their studio albums, the Fugees have released several mix tapes and compilations, including The Best of the Fugees (2004), which featured some of their biggest hits, such as “Ready or Not” and “No Woman, No Cry”.

An interesting fact about the Fugees is that they have a lot of celebrity fans, including Jay-Z and Beyonce. The group has also been credited with helping to popularize the reggae and hip hop fusion sound that is now so common in modern music.
