Dr. Hook Vinyl Records

Dr. Hook is an American rock band that was formed in Union City, New Jersey in 1968. The band is best known for their 1978 hit single “Cover of the Rolling Stone”.

The band’s early albums included Dr. Hook & The Medicine Show (1971) and Sloppy Seconds (1972). Their most successful album was 1978’s Pleasure & Pain, which featured the hit singles “Cover of the Rolling Stone” and “A Little Bit More”. The album went platinum and the band went on to have a string of successful singles, including “Sexy Eyes” and “When You’re in Love with a Beautiful Woman”.

In addition to their singles, the band also had a number of memorable album cuts, including “The Millionaire”, “If Not You” and “The Cover of the Rolling Stone”.

An interesting fact about Dr. Hook is that they were the first act to appear on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine twice, with the first being in 1973 and the second in 1978.
