    About this album

You Gotta Say Yes To Another Excess is the album where Yello sharpened their surreal electronic wit into one of the early 1980s’ most distinctive pop statements. Released in 1983, it pushed the Swiss duo further into sleek electro and synth-pop, balancing club-ready rhythm with deadpan humour, oddball textures and melody. Featuring key songs such as I Love You and No More Words, the record helped establish Yello as innovators who could make experimental studio craft feel immediate and accessible. Its influence can be heard in later electronic pop that prized style, invention and tension in equal measure.
