Victoria Monét – Frequency Of Love (2xLP)

Victoria Mone9t's Frequency of Love arrives as her second album and the first full-length follow-up to JAGUAR II, the 2023 breakthrough that earned seven Grammy nominations and helped turn Mone9t from an in-demand songwriter into a major solo voice. Here she leans into contemporary R&B with the romance of classic cinema and the pull of the dance floor, framing the record around love, intimacy, vulnerability, and self-possession rather than just a run of singles.

The album has been presented as a new chapter for Mone9t: timeless in feel, but broader in palette than before. Source material points to a mix of soul, disco, house, and sleek electronic touches, with Mone9t's vocal control and precise songwriting kept firmly at the centre. Pre-release songs such as Reach Out and Let Me suggest that balance clearly, moving between warm, groove-led R&B and more dance-facing production without losing the intimacy that defines her best work.

That combination of polish and personality makes Frequency of Love an appealing next step. It builds on the confidence that surrounded JAGUAR II while widening the sound with collaborators including Kaytranada and D'Mile, and its 17-song, 2xLP scale gives Mone9t room to stretch from sensual slow-burners to brighter, club-aware moments. For anyone following where modern R&B can meet classic songcraft, this is a compelling place to start.
