  • "Contraband" is the universally acclaimed debut album from VELVET REVOLVER, originally released in 2004.

    The supergroup is made up of early GUNS N ROSES members Slash, Duff McKagan and Matt Sorum with Dave Kushner (ex-WASTED YOUTH) and STONE TEMPLE PILOTS singer Scott Weiland.

    "Contraband" entered the Billboard 200 at number one and went double platinum.

    The singles "Slither" and "Falling To Pieces" were commercially successful, both reaching number one in the mainstream rock charts; the third single "Dirty Little Thing" made it to number 8.

    VELVET REVOLVER won a Grammy for "Best Hard Rock Performance" for "Slither" in 2005.

    Originally released in 2004 and no longer available for a long time, "Contraband" comes as a vinyl re-issue to mark the 10th anniversary of the album.
