    About this album

A powerful homecoming live album, Live at the Grand Opera House Belfast finds Van Morrison turning familiar material into a charged, deeply felt performance. Recorded in his hometown and issued in 1984, it draws on the late-period Van Morrison songbook, including music from Beautiful Vision and other recent work, and presents it with extra urgency and grit. The result is a concise statement of blues-rock and pop-rock that highlights Morrison’s vocal phrasing, band interplay and spiritual lyrical concerns. For listeners, it stands as one of his most distinctive live records, shaped by the atmosphere of Belfast and the strength of his songwriting.
