U2 – Under A Blood Red Sky (Live) (VG/VG) – LP, AU 1984

Under A Blood Red Sky (Live) is an LP by U2 from 1984 released on the Island Records label.

About this album

Under A Blood Red Sky is the live mini-album that helped turn U2 from promising post-punk newcomers into a major international rock act. Issued in 1983, it captures the band in a raw, forceful phase, with Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen Jr. driving through early favourites such as I Will Follow, Gloria and Sunday Bloody Sunday. Recorded during the War tour, the set distils the band’s political urgency and arena-sized ambition into a compact statement that broadened their audience, while the accompanying live film helped cement their reputation for dramatic performance. It remains a key snapshot of U2’s breakthrough era.
