Released in 1981 by the German trio Trio, the album distilled post-punk cool into clipped rhythms, sparse electronics and deliberately matter-of-fact vocals, making its humour and simplicity part of the hook. Best known for the hit single 'Da Da Da', the record helped define the band’s image and brought a distinctly offbeat strain of European pop to a much wider audience.
