Toto – Toto (VG+/VG+) – LP, AU 1978

Toto is an LP by Toto from 1978 released on the CBS label.

About this album

Toto’s self-titled debut is a polished statement of pop-rock and AOR craft, built on tight studio musicianship and sharply tuned hooks. Released in 1978, the album introduced a band of seasoned Los Angeles players who already knew how to balance precision with radio-ready melody. Songs such as Child’s Anthem, Georgy Porgy and Hold the Line show the group’s range, from muscular rock drive to smooth, harmony-rich pop. The record helped establish Toto as a formidable studio band before their later commercial peak, and it remains an important early example of the slick, high-level musicianship that defined their sound.
