    About this album

Live is a hard-rocking showcase for The Sensational Alex Harvey Band, a group that turned spectacle into substance. Released in 1975, the album captures the Scottish band’s volatile mix of rock ’n’ roll, hard rock and prog theatrics at a moment when their dramatic stagecraft was part of their identity. Led by Alex Harvey’s rasping vocals and mischievous charisma, the performance brings out the band’s swagger and humour while keeping the music tight and muscular. With favourites such as Faith Healer and Framed in the set, Live helped cement the group’s reputation as one of the most distinctive and entertaining acts of the era.
