Grin And Bear It is an LP by The Ruts from 1980 released on the Virgin label.

About this album

Grin And Bear It is a sharp overview of The Ruts’ brief but influential run, bringing together their most vital punk-reggae sides from around 1980. The London band stood apart for fusing punk urgency with reggae basslines, dub space and sharp social commentary, and this compilation captures that hybrid at full strength. Anchored by their enduring anthem Babylon’s Burning, it also reflects the intensity of In A Rut and the militant edge that made the band one of the most distinctive voices in late-70s British punk. For listeners tracing the meeting point of punk, reggae and new wave, it is a concise and revealing summary of the band’s legacy.
