Black And Blue is an LP by The Rolling Stones from 1976 released on the Rolling Stones Records label.
About this album
Black And Blue is a restless, groove-driven statement from The Rolling Stones, showing the band widening its sound in the mid-1970s. Released in 1976, it was their first album after Mick Taylor’s departure and became the record that brought Ronnie Wood into the fold. With funk, reggae and hard rock threaded through tracks such as Hot Stuff, Fool to Cry and Cherry Oh Baby, the album reflects a band testing new colours while staying unmistakably the Stones. Co-produced by the band with session input from musicians including Billy Preston, it helped set the template for their late-70s survival and renewal.
