Built To Destroy is an LP by The Michael Schenker Group from 1984 released on the Chrysalis label.
About this album
Built To Destroy is a sharp, hook-heavy hard rock set from The Michael Schenker Group, pairing Michael Schenker’s fluid guitar work with a more polished, melodic edge. Released in 1983, it followed the band’s early run of acclaimed albums and showed how Schenker could keep his playing fiery while aiming for wider heavy metal appeal. The album moves between driving riff songs such as Rock My Nights Away and the tense, dramatic Captain Nemo, reflecting the era’s shift towards tighter production and bigger choruses. It remains one of the group’s most accessible records from their early 1980s catalogue.
