Long Hard Ride is an LP by The Marshall Tucker Band from 1976 released on the Capricorn Records label.
About this album
Long Hard Ride is a sturdy country-rock set that shows The Marshall Tucker Band sharpening its Southern blend of twang, blues and easy rolling hooks. Issued in 1976, it followed the group’s early breakthrough period and carried forward the laid-back but muscular style that made them a fixture of the American rock South. The title track, Property Line and Windy City Blues underline the band’s knack for turning working-band grit into melodic, road-tested songs. For listeners drawn to Southern rock with a gentler country edge, it remains a strong statement from a group that helped define the sound.
