The Marías – Cinema

The Marías invite us into their "Cinema" - the title of the Title of the upcoming debut album by the Alternative pop band from L. A., which is inspired by inspired by the classic films and directors with lead singer María Zardoya and producer/drummer Producer/drummer Josh Conway grew up with, including Pedro Almodóvar and Wes Anderson.

The title "Cinema" is also a tribute to how the band got into came to music in the first place: "The reason Josh and josh and I started writing music together was the movies," says María. "Through a friend we came into contact with a music supervisor who sent us Sent us requests for film music. We were given an exposé of a scene and then we had to write the music within a write the music for it within a few days. The Marías are one of the most exciting new indie Indie bands of recent times. Born in Puerto Rico and puerto Rico and grew up in Atlanta, María Zardoya moved to Los Angeles in 2016, where she met drummer Josh Conway after a gig at the famous Kibitz Room Bar in the Canter's Deli, where she met him. The two began writing writing together and created a collection of intriguing songs that combine kaleidoscopic soul, smooth jazz Jazz and imaginative, bilingual lyricism. The Band is completed by three close friends of the Jesse Perlman (guitar), Edward James (keyboards) and (keyboards) and Gabe Steiner (trumpet).
