    About this album

Rock And Roll Sandwich is a strong 1973 blues-rock statement from The La De Das, a New Zealand band known for turning hard-driving rock into something rough, melodic and easy to remember. By this point the group had already built a reputation across Australasia, and the album reflects that road-worn confidence in its guitar-led arrangements and driving rhythm section. Its blend of rock muscle and blues phrasing gives the record a raw, unvarnished feel, while the band’s compact songwriting keeps the focus on momentum rather than excess. It stands as an overlooked but rewarding snapshot of early-1970s antipodean rock.
