The Isley Brothers – Live It Up (VG+/VG) – LP, AU 1974

Live It Up is an LP by The Isley Brothers from 1974 released on the CBS label.

About this album

Live It Up shows The Isley Brothers refining the funk-soul sound that made them one of the most reliable groups of the 1970s. Released in 1974, the album leans into fluid grooves, clipped rhythm guitar and supple harmonies, balancing party-starter energy with the group’s smoother, more romantic side. The title track, split into two parts, sets the tone for a record that moves easily between dance-floor swagger and laid-back soul. Coming at a peak period for the Isley Brothers’ expanded band format, the album helped reinforce their reputation for combining hard-edged funk with melodic polish and crossover appeal.
