About this album
Easy is a vital early statement from The Easybeats, capturing the raw energy that made them one of Australia’s most important beat groups. Issued in 1965, the album blends Merseybeat drive with rock and roll attack, setting the stage for the band’s later international breakthrough. With George Young and Harry Vanda beginning to shape the group’s distinctive songwriting identity, the record helped establish a tougher, more self-assured Australian pop sound. Its best-known songs, including “She Said Alright” and “Sorry” era material, point towards the craftsmanship and momentum that would soon make The Easybeats a landmark name in 1960s rock.
