The Doors – Absolutely Live (E/E) – 2xLP, AU 1972

Absolutely Live is an LP by The Doors from 1972 released on the Elektra label.

About this album

Absolutely Live captures The Doors at full concert force, drawing on the band’s blues rock and psychedelic edge as they stretched songs into tense, improvisatory performances. Issued in 1970, the release documents the group’s late-period live presence with material such as “When The Music’s Over” and “The Celebration Of The Lizard”, showing how Jim Morrison, Ray Manzarek, Robby Krieger and John Densmore could turn familiar songs into something volatile and expansive onstage. Rather than a simple live summary, it stands as a snapshot of one of rock’s most distinctive and theatrical bands at work in front of an audience.
