Stampede is an LP by The Doobie Brothers from 1975 released on the Warner Bros. Records label.
About this album
Stampede finds The Doobie Brothers broadening their sound without losing the melodic toughness that made them a major 1970s rock act. Released in 1975, the album blends country rock, funk and West Coast harmony across a set that includes the hit ‘Take Me in Your Arms (Rock Me a Little While)’, the band’s only Top 20 US single. Joined by guest performer Jeff “Skunk” Baxter and produced by Ted Templeman, the record also features the instrumental interplay and vocal polish that defined the group’s peak-era appeal. It remains one of their most varied and distinctive albums.
