The Beatles – With The Beatles (VG/VG) – LP, AU 1964

With The Beatles is an LP by The Beatles from 1964 released on the Parlophone label.

About this album

With the Beatles sharpened the group’s early formula and confirmed they were far more than a hit single act. Released in 1963, the album blends Lennon-McCartney originals with carefully chosen covers, creating a tougher, more varied sound than their debut while still showcasing the tight harmonies and driving Beat rhythm that made them irresistible. Songs such as It Won’t Be Long, All My Loving and Please Mister Postman show the band already moving quickly beyond imitation towards a distinct voice. Its huge UK success helped establish The Beatles as the defining pop phenomenon of the decade and set the pace for their rapid artistic rise.
