About this album
A Collection Of Beatles Oldies is a sharp reminder of how quickly The Beatles redefined popular music in the 1960s. Issued in 1966, this compilation brought together landmark singles and major album tracks from their most vital early period, including She Loves You, A Hard Day's Night, Help!, We Can Work It Out and Paperback Writer. As a retrospective assembled while the group were still transforming from beat heroes into studio innovators, it captures their remarkable run of melody, invention and cultural dominance. The album also reflects the era when Beatles singles were becoming global events, helping cement their status as the decade’s most influential pop group.
