Talk Talk – It's My Life (E/E) – LP, UK 1984

It's My Life is an LP by Talk Talk from 1984 released on the EMI label.

About this album

It's My Life is Talk Talk’s polished 1984 breakthrough, a sharp synth-pop album that turned the band’s early new romantic gloss into something more distinctive. Led by the title track and Such A Shame, it pairs bright keyboard textures with Mark Hollis’s restrained, searching vocals and the taut production of Tim Friese-Greene. The record became an important stepping stone in the group’s evolution from chart-friendly pop into the more reflective, ambitious music that followed. Its blend of accessibility and melancholy helped make Talk Talk one of the most interesting British bands of the 1980s.
