About this album
Ready For Action! - Live In The Snow shows Swanee in full-throttle live rock mode, with a set built around muscular covers and crowd-raising favourites. Issued in 1983, the album draws on his hard-edged band sound and stage presence, moving from Talk To Ya Later and Tin Soldier to Born To Run and a dramatic Led Zeppelin medley. The inclusion of Evie underlines the Australian rock connection at the centre of the performance. As a live document from the early 1980s, it captures a performer leaning into volume, swagger and audience energy rather than studio polish.
