Styx – Crystal Ball (VG+/VG) – LP, AU 1976

Crystal Ball is an LP by Styx from 1976 released on the A&M Records label.

About this album

Crystal Ball is a strong turning point for Styx, refining the melodic hard rock and progressive flashes that would define their breakout years. Issued in 1976, the album helped bridge the band’s earlier regional success with the more polished, arena-ready sound that soon brought wider attention. Its blend of guitar heft, keyboard colour and harmony-rich writing gives the record both punch and personality, while the title track became one of its standout statements. As an early Styx album, Crystal Ball captures a band consolidating its identity and moving towards a larger national profile.
