Stevie Wonder's Greatest Hits Vol. 2 is an LP by Stevie Wonder from 1986 released on the Motown label.
About this album
Stevie Wonder's Greatest Hits Vol. 2 is a strong snapshot of his transition from Motown prodigy to fully realised artist. Issued in 1971, it collects key singles from the late 1960s and early 1970s, including 'Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours', 'For Once In My Life' and 'My Cherie Amour'. The set shows how Wonder's songwriting, arranging and keyboard-driven soul were becoming more personal, ambitious and rhythmically forward-looking. As a compilation, it captures the stretch where he moved beyond teen-pop success into the inventive funk and R&B that would define his classic 1970s run.
