    About this album

The Wild Heart confirms Stevie Nicks as a major solo voice, not just Fleetwood Mac’s mystic frontwoman. Released in 1983, her second solo album sharpened the pop-rock and soft-rock blend that made her debut so successful, with a stronger edge and a more assured sense of drama. Stand Back became the standout hit and a lasting favourite, while If Anyone Falls and Wild Heart show her gift for turning introspective writing into widescreen radio songs. The album’s high-profile production and guest musicians helped give Nicks a sound that was polished, memorable and distinctly her own, strengthening her reputation through the 1980s.
