Now We Are Six is an LP by Steeleye Span from 1974 released on the Chrysalis label.
About this album
Now We Are Six finds Steeleye Span sharpening their British folk-rock formula with greater confidence and variety. Released in 1974, the album balances traditional material with more playful, unexpectedly wide-ranging choices, from the title track and Thomas The Rhymer to a spirited reading of To Know Him Is To Love Him. By this point the band were among the most distinctive voices in the UK folk-rock movement, blending electric drive, group harmonies and a clear respect for folk source material. The result is one of their most approachable albums, and a key release in the band’s mid-1970s run.
