Status Quo – The Best Of Status Quo (VG/VG) – LP, AU 1973

The Best Of Status Quo is an LP by Status Quo from 1973 released on the Astor label.

About this album

The Best Of Status Quo is a useful overview of the band’s early-1970s pop-rock phase, before their harder boogie identity fully took hold. Issued in 1973, this compilation brings together singles and album highlights that trace Status Quo’s move from psychedelic pop towards the lean, driving rock that made them one of Britain’s most durable chart acts. Songs such as Down The Dustpipe, In My Chair and Mean Girl show the group sharpening its riffs, hooks and no-nonsense momentum. It captures an important transitional moment in a career that would go on to dominate UK rock for decades.
