Shame – Drunk Tank Pink (E/E) – LP, UK 2021

Drunk Tank Pink is an LP by Shame from 2021 released on the Dead Oceans label.

About this album

Drunk Tank Pink finds Shame turning their post-punk noise into something more expansive and more viciously focused. The band’s second album, released in 2021, pushes beyond the wiry energy of their debut with sharper dynamics, stranger textures and a restless sense of movement, while still carrying the bite and social unease that define their best work. Songs such as Alphabet and Nigel Hitter show how confidently Shame balance abrasion with memorable hooks, making the record one of the more striking British rock albums of its moment. It helped confirm the South London group as one of the UK’s most distinctive young guitar bands.
