Flogging A Dead Horse is an LP by Sex Pistols from 1988 released on the Virgin label.
About this album
Flogging A Dead Horse is a brisk Sex Pistols compilation that packages the band’s most notorious singles, B-sides and key cover versions into a concentrated blast of late-1970s punk. Issued in 1979, it underlines how quickly the Pistols became cultural lightning rods, turning outrage, chaos and cartoonish self-mythology into one of rock’s most influential stories. Alongside signatures such as Anarchy In The U.K., God Save The Queen and Pretty Vacant, the set reflects the band’s collision of raw velocity, satire and doomed swagger. As a snapshot of their brief, incendiary career, it remains a useful gateway to the Sex Pistols’ enduring legacy.
