Schnitzler Conrad – Control

Control" documents a phase in which Conrad Schnitzler tested new electronic technologies - inspired by his connection to Peter Baumann (Tangerine Dream).
The album is like a compilation of different musical approaches: From classic Schnitzler pieces with sparkling cascades of sound to surprising moments in which he touches on traditional harmonies. The pieces are short, sketchy but precise - an acoustic diary of his artistic restlessness. The original LP from 1981 dispensed with any identifying grooves; the tracks flow into one another. Here too, Schnitzler remains true to his principle: music as movement, as a snapshot, as an experiment. "Control" is a strong dose of his creative elixir - and a further step on the way to the "complete Schnitzler".
Reviews
"The whole thing is a kind of magic potion, a wild elixir of life. There are melodies. And there are atonals. All evenly distributed. Excitement everywhere!" (GoodTimes, February/March 2026)
