Roger Taylor – Strange Frontier (VG+/VG) – LP, AU 1984

Strange Frontier is an LP by Roger Taylor from 1984 released on the EMI label.

About this album

Strange Frontier shows Roger Taylor stepping beyond Queen with a confident solo statement that balances melodic pop rock, hard-edged guitar work and sharp political commentary. Released in 1984, the album reflects Taylor’s knack for writing big, immediate hooks without losing bite or personality. Its title track and the confrontational cover of Bob Dylan’s Masters of War give the record its strongest sense of purpose, while songs such as Man On Fire and I Cry For You (Love, Hope And Confusion) underline his range as a singer, drummer and songwriter. As a Queen side project, it became one of Taylor’s best-known solo releases.
