Foot Loose & Fancy Free is an LP by Rod Stewart from 1977 released on the Warner Bros. Records label.
About this album
Foot Loose & Fancy Free is one of Rod Stewart’s most successful late-70s albums, balancing hard-rock swagger with a softer, more melodic pop sensibility. Released in 1977, it delivered some of his best-known solo songs, including Hot Legs and You’re In My Heart, both key to the record’s chart appeal and enduring radio presence. Built around Stewart’s raspy charisma and a polished band sound, the album helped confirm his status as a transatlantic rock star rather than just a former Faces frontman. Its mix of strutting rockers and heartfelt ballads made it a defining mainstream Rod Stewart statement.
