Racey – Smash And Grab (VG+/VG+) – LP, AU 1979

Smash And Grab is an LP by Racey from 1979 released on the RAK label.

About this album

Smash And Grab is Racey at their most polished and immediate, delivering hook-laden pop rock with the glam-bent swagger that made the band a late-’70s chart fixture. Issued in 1979, the album followed the success of their breakthrough singles and leaned into bright melodies, clipped rhythms and chant-along choruses that kept their sound firmly in the hit-parade lane. Tracks such as Lay Your Love On Me and Some Girls show the group’s gift for writing compact, radio-ready songs with a punchy edge. It is a concise snapshot of British bubblegum-tinged rock at the end of the decade.
