A Day At The Races = 華麗なるレース is an LP by Queen from 1976 released on the Elektra label.
About this album
A Day at the Races is a bold, highly theatrical Queen album that sharpened the group’s blend of hard rock, harmony-rich pop and grand-scale arrangement. Arriving in 1976 as the follow-up to A Night at the Opera, it showed the band working with greater confidence in their layered studio style, from the gospel-powered surge of Somebody to Love to the hard-riff punch of Tie Your Mother Down and the elegant grandeur of Good Old-Fashioned Lover Boy. Self-produced by Queen, the album helped cement their reputation for mixing heavyweight rock with melodic excess and inventive songcraft, becoming one of the defining records of their classic mid-1970s run.
