Pulp – Pulp Live! (2xLP, Indie Exclusive Blue Vinyl)

Pulp's Live! captures the Sheffield band at a very specific high point: the June 2025 O2 Arena shows in London, recorded the same week More became their first studio album in 24 years and hit Number 1 on the Official UK Chart. Rather than a generic reunion document, this set fixes the moment when Pulp returned as an active creative force, with old favourites and brand-new songs meeting on the same stage.

Drawn from the band’s two O2 performances, the album also connects directly to Garth Jennings’ film What Do You Do For an Encore?, making this something like Pulp’s first soundtrack album as well as a live release. Jennings’ history with the band goes back to 1997, when he directed the video for “Help the Aged,” and he later helped shape the staging for their return before filming these concerts.

What makes Live! especially appealing is the way it balances eras without flattening them. Songs from More sit alongside staples such as “Disco 2000” and “Common People,” showing how naturally Pulp’s newer material fits the theatrical wit, emotional candour, and communal singalong pull that have always defined their shows. Jarvis Cocker described a concert as the place where songs “come back to life,” and this album leans into that idea completely.
