Pulp – Pulp Live! (2xLP)

A concert is an event where songs come to life anew. That’s why this album is titled “Live!,” explains Jarvis Cocker about this special addition to the Pulp catalog.

“It’s both a statement of fact (it’s a recording of a live band) and a challenge (come on! Everyone should come alive!).” At the same time, it’s also something like Pulp’s first film soundtrack: the film “What Do You Do For an Encore?”, directed by Garth Jennings, will be released worldwide on September 25.

The collaboration between Pulp and Garth Jennings dates back to 1997, when he directed the music video for “Help the Aged.” When Pulp announced their return to the stage in 2023, Garth reached out and offered to help design the stage concept. In June 2025, he finally filmed the band’s two performances at London’s O2 Arena, which form the centerpiece of the film. These concerts also provide the material for the live album.

They were the 566th and 567th shows in the band’s history and showcase a group at the peak of their powers. Recorded during the week that “More”—Pulp’s first album in 24 years—reached No. 1 on the official UK charts, the album captures the exact moment when the band returned as a creative force: old and new classics united for the first time.
