  • "Atom Heart Mother" is the fifth longplayer of Pink Floyd. The album was originally released on October 10, 1970. 23: 39 minutes on the title track is the longest uncut composition of the band. The British sound artist Ron Geesin was responsible for the orchestration of the suite.

Two songs on "Atom Heart Mother" were created in collaboration with Roger Waters, Dave Gilmour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright. Waters, Gilmour and Wright also wrote one song each on their own. Meddle" was recorded between February and August 1970 at London's Abbey Road Studios.

"With the October 1970 Atom Heart Mother topped Roger Waters, David Gilmour, Rick Wright and Nick Mason for the first time the British charts (D #8, US #55), with the nearly 24-minute Title piece they delivered an opus, by sending her song fragments in the complete works with complete orchestra and the choir."
