About this album

Never Letting Go is a warm, accomplished showcase for Phoebe Snow’s singular voice and genre-blending writing. Issued in 1977, the album builds on the soulful, jazz-tinged pop rock that made her debut so distinctive, but with a more assured and rounded studio sound. Snow’s expressive phrasing and emotional range give the songs real depth, whether on the reflective title track or the Paul Simon-penned “Something So Right”. As a follow-up from one of the most admired voices of the 1970s singer-songwriter era, it confirms her ability to move between pop, soul and intimate balladry with uncommon ease.
