Phil Collins – ...But Seriously (VG+/VG+) – LP, AU 1989

...But Seriously is an LP by Phil Collins from 1989 released on the WEA label.

About this album

...But Seriously sharpened Phil Collins’ pop instincts into his most socially aware solo album. Released in 1989, it followed the huge success of No Jacket Required and found Collins balancing polished soft rock with sharper lyrical intent, most clearly on the global hit Another Day in Paradise. Built on crisp hooks, clean drum-driven arrangements and his unmistakable voice, the album also produced I Wish It Would Rain Down and Something Happened on the Way to Heaven, helping extend his run as one of the era’s most reliable hitmakers. Its commercial success confirmed his dominance in late-1980s pop.
