Disco is an LP by Pet Shop Boys from 1986 released on the Parlophone label.

About this album

Disco is a sharp early Pet Shop Boys compilation that distils the duo’s sleek synth-pop into a concise club statement. Issued in 1986, it gathered their first run of singles and key mixes from the period when Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe were quickly becoming one of British pop’s most distinctive acts. With its cool electronic textures, dance-pop hooks and urban wit, the set shows how the duo turned nightclub energy into intelligent mainstream pop. It also underlines the momentum behind early hits such as West End Girls, Suburbia and Opportunities, songs that helped establish Pet Shop Boys as elegant chroniclers of modern life.
