Pearl Jam – Vs. (VG/VG+) – LP, EU 1993

Vs. is an LP by Pearl Jam from 1993 released on the Epic label.

About this album

Vs. is Pearl Jam’s ferocious 1993 breakthrough, a grunge classic that widened the band’s scope without losing its punch. Following the success of Ten, the Seattle group pushed into harsher, leaner territory with producer Brendan O’Brien, trading stadium polish for bristling guitars, restless dynamics and a more confrontational edge. Songs such as Go, Daughter, Rearviewmirror and Elderly Woman Behind the Counter in a Small Town helped make the album one of the defining rock records of the decade. It also set a then-record for first-week sales in the United States, underlining Pearl Jam’s status as one of the era’s biggest bands.
