Peaches & Herb – Twice The Fire (VG+/VG+) – LP, Australasia 1979

Twice The Fire is an LP by Peaches & Herb from 1979 released on the Polydor label.

About this album

Twice The Fire shows Peaches & Herb refining their late-’70s comeback sound with a polished blend of soul and disco. Released in 1979, the album leans into dancefloor-ready grooves, sleek arrangements and the duo’s easy vocal chemistry, giving their harmonies a glossy, contemporary edge. It arrived after the pair re-established themselves as a chart-friendly act in the disco era, when upbeat production and romantic themes were central to their appeal. With songs such as I Pledge My Love and Gettin' Down, Gettin' Down, the record reflects both the genre’s momentum and Peaches & Herb’s gift for turning tender duet material into radio-friendly pop-soul.
