Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark – Crush (VG/VG+) – LP, AU 1985

Crush is an LP by Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark from 1985 released on the Virgin label.

About this album

Crush is OMD at their most streamlined and commercially focused, turning sleek synth-pop into one of the group’s defining mid-1980s statements. Released in 1985, the album was produced with Stephen Hague, whose polished approach helped frame the band’s melodic writing in a cleaner, more radio-friendly sound. So In Love became a major hit and gave the record its best-known single, while songs such as Secret and La Femme Accident reinforced its balance of romance, tension and electronic precision. Coming after the group’s early experimental run, Crush showed how OMD could refine their sound without losing the emotional directness that made them stand out.
