Olivia Dean – The Art Of Loving (Alternate Cover, Transparent VInyl)

Olivia Dean’s The Art of Loving is the British singer-songwriter’s second album, first released in September 2025 after the breakthrough of Messy, and it arrives with the assurance of an artist sharpening her voice rather than changing course. Rough Trade placed it at No. 59 in its Albums of the Year 2025 list, while Dean’s status as a multi-Brit Award and Mercury Prize nominee underlines how quickly she has become a defining presence in contemporary UK soul-pop.

The record centres on love in its different forms: romance, friendship, self-acceptance, uncertainty and emotional growth. Dean works in a warm space between contemporary soul, jazz-inflected pop, R&B and neo-soul, using elegant arrangements and close-up songwriting instead of big gestures. Singles and highlights including “Nice To Each Other,” “Man I Need” and “So Easy (To Fall In Love)” show how naturally she balances easy melodic charm with a more thoughtful, vulnerable perspective.

What makes The Art of Loving especially appealing is its sense of maturity without losing accessibility. Across 12 tracks, Dean keeps the mood intimate and expressive, with songs that feel personal but never closed off. This North American tour edition also tells part of the album’s story on vinyl: a later special pressing that was previously sold on the North American leg of her 2025/2026 tour, giving this single-LP version a more collectible angle than a standard copy.
