Baltimore is an LP by Nina Simone from 1978 released on the CTI Records label.

About this album

Baltimore is a late-period Nina Simone album that balances political bite with an unusually varied sound. Released in 1978, it brings together soul, reggae, gospel and soft rock textures around Simone’s unmistakable voice, turning familiar songs and new material into pointed statements. The title track became the album’s best-known moment, and her reading of Randy Newman’s "Baltimore" reinforces the record’s mix of social observation and emotional force. Arriving after her early-1960s breakthrough years, the album shows Simone still reworking popular styles into something personal, urgent and uncompromising.
