    Dawn Patrol introduced Night Ranger as a polished hard rock force with a clear melodic edge. Released in 1982, the album helped define the band’s early AOR sound, blending muscular guitars, tight harmonies and radio-ready songwriting at the point where hard rock and mainstream rock were increasingly overlapping. Anchored by songs such as Don't Tell Me You Love Me and Sing Me Away, it established the group’s knack for memorable hooks without losing its bite. The record laid the groundwork for Night Ranger’s later commercial rise and remains an important early statement from one of the era’s most recognisable arena rock bands.
