This Note's For You is an LP by Neil Young, The Bluenotes from 1988 released on the Reprise Records label.
About this album
This Note's For You shows Neil Young turning sharply towards electric R&B, funk and blues with The Bluenotes. Released in 1988, the album pairs his restless songwriting with a brassy bar-band punch, giving songs such as the title track, Ten Men Workin' and Coupe De Ville a tougher, more satirical edge than much of his earlier work. It also became known for its anti-corporate title song and its stylish video, which helped keep Young visible in the MTV era. Bold, abrasive and musically unusual in his catalogue, it remains one of his most distinctive late-80s statements.
